I'm trying to make the contents on a page "fly in" from the left.
When I test this in the slide show, the title and the bullet points all
fly in and then, once they are all there, they disappear and fly in
again.  How do I stop this double fly in?  Thanks.

Which version of PowerPoint do you use? Have a look in the animation task
pane, whether there are two animations for each object (or two object
copies?).

Did you animate objects on the master? If so, these animations add to the
animations applied to the slide.

I'm Using Powerpoint 2002 SP 3.  I didn't see a version number on the
"About" screen.  Only the slide I tried to add animation to does this.
The other slides all simply appear with no effects at all.  I removed
the animation from this one slide and now I have no slides that do
anything interesting.

So, now, how do I get the bullet points (but not the title) to "fly
in" exactly one time?  I would like every slide except the title page
slide and the Bibliography slide at the end to do this.  Thanks for advice.

Hi Ken,

if you want to apply the same animation to all slides, you should do this on
the master. Go there with View - Master - Slide Master. Click on the edge of
the text-placeholder to select it. And from the Animation task pane chose
the Fly-in animation.

Switch back to Normal view and delete animation on the bibliography slide.

Ute

Check your custom animation, effects. Make sure that the repeat X number of
times is not set to repeat.
