Text Boxes Do Not Print

We have a presentation that includes a slide with a text box.  When we print
the slide, the text box does not print.  However, when we change the slide
layout to Title and Text (bulleted list), pasted the text box content into
the bullet placeholder, and remove the bullets, it prints fine.

Does anyone know why the text box will not print?  The font is Ariel, so
that isn't the problem.  Thanks.

Would the font be white by any chance?

No, but that's a good guess.  I tried applying auto and black with no
success.  Thanks for asking.

Might be corrupted file--especially if the presentations are recycled a lot.
I've run into the same problem myself, and it was always with a few specific
slides that all originated from the same department.  To fix it, I always
imported the presentation into a new file and then went through it to correct
any problems (mostly as you described, though mine was specifically with the
title).  Eventually, it filtered the problem out.

You can easily spot problem slides by View>Color/Grayscale>Pure Black and
White.

Trudy,
Is it possible someone might have marked that text box to not print? To find
out, do View--> Color/Grayscale --> Grayscale. The Grayscale view toolbar
will appear in the middle of your screen. Select the text box and click the
Setting button on the toolbar. I am thinking that this box might have been
marked "Don't show".

Hi Trudy

One little trick that you can try easily:

Open Notepad on your computer. Cut the text from PowerPoint and paste it
into Notepad, and then cut the text in Notepad and paste it back into
PowerPoint. This removes any of the text's properties and converts it into
plain text.

SuperPresentationMan uses this in PowerPoint, Word and Dreamweaver when text
becomes too smart for it's own good.

Have fun
