I am a writer in charge of posting PPT files to my company's Web site.  These
files are full of graphics, and some are up to 50 pages long.  I am wondering
if you have any pointers as to how to make the files smaller and therefore
easier for our customers to download.

Also, I have been posting both PPT and PDF files of my company's
presentations online, and was wondering how to post PPS versions.  Is there a
way to convert a PPT to a PPS?

Is there any way to "lock" a PowerPoint presentation so that people who
download it can't make changes to it?

Just try NXPowerlite for example from 50 Mo to 7 Mo.
Is that what y're looking for?

Change the file's extension from .PPT to .PPS

No, really.  That's all there is to it.

This has some suggestions (not all of them involve passwords):
