have just finished making first slide show. I can make the final pane go to
black and end show. Tries tools, otions, end with black and other obvious
responses. What am I doing wrong. Any help appreciated.

Do you want to end the show without clicking on the mouse? If so, proceed to
the last slide, click Slide Show > Slide Transition.
Under advance slide, put a checkmark to "automatically after". Set a
duration of your preference. Do NOT apply to all.
Is that what you are referring to?
