I am trying to resolve an issue where when you click on the File menu, it is
taking up to 5 minutes to display the menu options or they may never display
at all.  When I check Task Manager, it shows Not Responding.  All other menus
(ie, Edit, View, etc) work just fine.  Thought maybe the default template
file (pwrpnt11) was corrupt, but it is not.  This does not occur in other
Office programs.  Office has been uninstalled/reinstalled and repaired, but I
still have the same issue.  Any ideas on what is causing this and how to
resolve?

Long shot, but head to Tools|Options|General and turn the "recently used
file" list to 0.

Maybe also try this:

Go to Start and right-click on My Computer.
Left-click on Disconnect Network Drive
and then disconnect any mapped drives that aren't currently available.
