I have movies created on my digital camera which I want to link to a power
point presentation.   However, they are saved to my PC as .mov files -
noncompatible with Windows Media Player - how can I convert the movie to a
file type that is compatible with PowerPoint/Windows Media Player?
(Quicktime is the program that plays these files, but I can't get PP to play
them in the presentation).

Donna,
You can do a couple of things. First you can simply change permissions. This
means that you tell Media Player to be the default for this type of file. To
test and see if it is capable, RIGHT CLICK the mov file you want to play and
choose "open with" then choose Media Player.
Another option, is to download a converter. Download.com has a mixture of
Free and pay software. Search for mov to wmv converter.
