Recently, autoshapes stopped appearing in PowerPoint. They do appear in the
slide preview scroll menu on the left side of the screen, but NOT in the main
edit screen and they do NOT appear in the print preview. Any thoughts on
settings that might have been changed that are causing this problem?
I am working in PowerPoint 2002 sp-2.

Check in View > color / greyscale that you have "color" selected. It's
possible in greyscale view to set the DEFAULT for autoshapes to "dont show"
(Not easy to do by accident though)

PPT -- saved me from suggesting you install SP2 for Office 2003! LOL!)
I'd try knocking hardware acceleration back a few notches and see if that
helps.
