video over multiple slides

Hi there - does anyone know if it is possible to start a video on one slide
lets say in the top right hand corner, move to the next slides and still
have the video playing?

any help would be most appreciated

What version of PowerPoint are you using? In PowerPoint 2003 and 2002/XP SP3,
you can have movie running over multiple slides. Download the Movies Across
Slides tutorial at:

How can i download microsoft powerpoint for use in microsoft works?

i need to do some presentations, but cannot open and edit a draft powerpoint
presentation on my computor even though it has works.  When i down load the
attachment sent to me, it does not recognise any work program i can use to
edit.
On the powerpoint thing, i can only download powerpoint viewer, this doesnt
allow me to edit the presentation.

You MUST buy PowerPoint if you want to create or edit a PowerPoint
presentation.

1. Insert|Movie|From File.
2. Select "play automatically."
3. Hit F1 to turn on the task pane and select custom animation from the top
dropdown so you see the custom animation task pane
4. Right-click the top movie animation in the custom animation task pane
(the one that plays it automatically, not the trigger that pauses it) and
choose Effect Options.
5. Put the number of slides in the "stop playing after" box.

That should do it.
