missing pictures when packaged for cd

i am using ppt 2003. i have a picture slide presentation done and it looks
beautiful. i used the photo album feature to insert the picture for the most
part. now i want to package the presentation to cd, and when it does, certain
pictures disappear, only to left with a colored box in their place. its
always the same pictures. i do not have most of these pictures on the
computer, they are on cd, and the presentation plays fine without the cd, i
transfered it to another computer and it play okay there, its just when i
package it for cd that the pictures disappear. any ideas?thanks

The photo album tool is not totally reliable though its hard to see whats
going on here if the pictures arent linked. As a work around try selecting an
affected photo cut and edit>paste special as a png (make sure you work on a
copy!)

HI, thank you.
i looked around the forum and found similar answers and then found a friend
who is good at the technical side of things. we ended up saving the ppt to a
folder, copying the picture as a "save as" and reinserting the picture into
the presentation. then the pictures all showed up on the cd. i still would
like to know why certain pictures choose not to show up when packaged for cd,
but i guess that will be a trial and error kind of thing. thanks for our
help.
