Play an AVI file in PP 2003 when it is not in the foreground

I have a PP slide with a background, middle layer (AVI file) and a top layer.
The top layer is a "cut-out" image therefore you can see the middle layer
through the cut out. The AVI will only play when it is in the forground

Dev,

PowerPoint plays a video as an "overlay" on your screen, nothing else
(except a few activex controls) can be "in front" of the video.
