I am having a Tabet PC from Acer C310 series. I have strange problem with
this. I installed microsoft Office XP on it. All the components like word,
access, excell are working fine.
But powerpoint is giving me a unique prolbem

The problem is witht he "FONT" drop down on the standard bar. It only shows
"ARIAL" font. When I want to change and press the little down arrow, the menu
drops down, but it is just white. It does not show any font's name.

When I go through the Format menu to fonts, it shows the fonts.

I thought there may be a software confilct or software corruption, I tried
it on my other computer and it is working superb on them

I tried to install it from 3 different Office XP softwares, witht he same
bad result.

I reformat my computer to remove every glitch of softwares, and installed
Office XP as the first software, but even then it did not work.

Somebody gave my suggestion to download a BAT file from ACEr and installed
it before office installation, but it did not work.

Please someboy help me.

A couple of things to try.

Make sure you have a printer driver installed and set as the default
printer. See the info here for why. http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00034.htm

Also, try knocking hardware acceleration back. It may work or it may not,
but it doesn't hurt to try. http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00129.htm for instrux.

I almost wonder if it's related to this: Disappearing or blank thumbnails in
task panes
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00779.htm -- but since you said you even tried
reformatting and installing Office first thing, it's probably not the
problem -- unless maybe you installed other software also before testing.
