I'm editing a powerpoint file someone else created, using his slide master.
I want to replace his slide master with someone else's slide master from a
different file.  How do I do that?  I can't find a "copy slide master"
anywhere in the choices I'm given.  And I'm not good enough to create the
slide master I want, from scratch, in the file I'm editing.  I need to be
able to just copy and paste the one I want from the file that has it into the
file I need it to be in.

It depends how the master was made.
You may be able to view > master>slide maste > slect all > copy and then
paste into the slide master of your pres. However I would do this which is
much more likely to work properly.

In Powerpoint File > new>from design template

Now at the bottom click "browse" and change the "files of type" to "all
powerpoint presentations"
Browse to "his" presentation and OK

Now Insert>slides from files > your pres all slides
DO NOT CLICK KEEP SOURCE FORMAT

Did that answer the question / help?
