I am trying to send a PPS with a .wav file but the sound doesn't play for the
recipient as the .wav file is on my machine. How can I embed or attach the
file so the recipients can also play?

Wav files by default embed themselves into PowerPoint un less they exceed
the amount that is set under Tools, Options, General. If your wave file
exceeds that amount, I will be linked and must travel with the presentation.
You might want to look here for alternatives.
