If you are printing in color AND are using PowerPoint 2002 (XP) or newer,
than you can change the way the items animate. Change the entrance fly-in
effect to a motion path. Then by moving the arrow and text off the slide
and adjusting the motion path end point, you can duplicate the appearance of
fly-in. The key is to have the objects reside 'off the slide', then they
will not print.
If you are using an older version or are printing in grayscale (or black and
white), then you can simply change to Grayscale view (View =>
Color/Grayscale => Grayscale). Then select the object and right click.
Select the Grayscale settings and choose 'Don't show'. Now when you print
choose grayscale and the items will not be included.
