Anyone know why PowerPoint doesn't find the misspelling of "uncertainity".
The misspelling is not in the custom dictionary and Word does find the
misspelling.
To clarify do you mean not found
1. with "Tools > spelling..." or
2. not underlined in red as you type?
If its the second option - Tools > options>spelling & style - tick check
spelling as you type may do the trick, personally though I prefer to untick
it as it can slow thing down.

Finds it in my versions of PPT (2003, 2002, 2000 & '97.) Underlines in red
and also gives correct spelling when running spell check.

Ok, thanks. Based on this I tied a reboot and it fixed it. I had already
tried closing and restarting PowerPoint, but that did not fix it.
