I'm trying to import .avi files into Producer. Althought I am able to import and add it to the timeline, when I preview the clip, the voice-recording comes up scrambled. The general consensus is that avi files do not work well in Producer (not sure why -- non standard files, codecs ?) The best strategy is often to convert the avi files to wmv files -- the Windows Media Encoder will do that -- http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx  SignatureBrian Sullivan Courses by Wire (http://www.coursesbywire.com) I converted the files to .wmv format but now I'm getting a runtime error when I try to insert the files into Producer. The error reads: The instruction at "0x1d1cc96d" referenced memory at "0x097b6000". The memory could not be "written". Is > there anything else I can try? I can't think of anything -- I presume you are using one of the default templates (not that it should really make any difference). Can you put one of the files somewhere where it can be downloaded? If you can I will give it a try to see if I get the some error (and maybe poke around to see if I can spot anything).
