I need to completely disable the destination popup that appears when you
place the mouse over a hyperlink within a PPT presentation.  I have read a
posting about putting a blank space in the screen tips, but it still displays
something on the screen and I don't want anything to pop up.  I was able to
disable this on another system last year but cannot find the setting or
possible the registry entry to turn this off.  Any help would be appreciated.

I dont know that there's any way to disable this (Ive tried quite a few
registry hacks)

Two things that do work

1) a program called alphaXP can make the tips 100% transparent so they dont
show.
The program has to be running in the background so only suitable on your own
PC

2) You can use a mouseover action to hyperlink. Now I guess you dont want to
link on mouseover so here's the trick. Cover the hyperlink (set to mouseover)
with a 99% tranparent shape. Give this shape an exit > disapear triggered by
a click on itself. Click the "hyperlink" > transparent shape disapears and
mouseover link happens.

Did that answer the question / help?
