PP 2002 Normal view has Outline and Slide tabs.

PP 2000 seems to have only the Outline view in Normal view.

Any way of seeing the mini slides down the side of the Normal view? I know
one can switch Slide Sorter view but that is inconvenient most times.

Francis,
As far as I can remember there is nothing you can do about that in PPT 2000.

Luc is correct.  The slide thumbnail "pane" was introduced in PowerPoint 2002
and isn't available in 2000 or previous versions.
