Cover the movie shape with an autoshape set to backgroung fill. The shape
will appear in design mode over the movie but in slide show mode it will
eliminate the black flash and you will not see the autoshape.

Hi,
Thanks so much for replying. Unfortunatly the aimation still plays ontop of
everything and I see the black flash. I'm sure I must be doing someting wrong
as this is someting everyone must do all the time. I've tried different file
formats but all seem to do it.
Many thanks
Marcus

Apply a fade-in animation to the movie and set it to a very short duration,
maybe 0.5 sec.

Hi,
Thanks for the help. For some reason I still get a flash. I don't think any
fade is actually happening. I just added a fade entrance and made it play
with the animation...Any thoughts. I am using a lap top (Compaq nx6325) so
maybe my machine isnt up to it?
Many thanks
Marcus
