I would like to automatically adjust the slide numbers so that the
third slide of the presentation is labeled slide #1.  My companies
external presentation format requires the first two slides be the
title slide and a disclaimer sllide.  The content doesn't start until
slide #3.

I would like a way to do this automatically since numbering manually
is a pain and prone to errors as slides move around.  I tried using
adjusting the starting slide number on Page Setup but I could only
start the first slide as zero.

I am running Powerpoint 2000.

Any help would be appreciated.

mcap,
You could make two shows and hyperlink between them. That way the viewer
would not notice. Other than that number them manually as you said yoursefl
that is a pain.
Also have a look at another thread from a few days ago called Page numbers
in PowerPoint from the 26th of this month. John Wilson kindly posted some
code that will do what you want in VBA.
