not enough memory to read powerpoint file

I am getting an error stating I do not have enough memory to open file. I
was able to do this until I downloaded many more fonts. Does this has
anything to do with it?

It does, depends on how many of those fonts you installed. I try to keep my
installed foots to around 200

How many fonts do you have installed?

Try uninstalling some, see if that helps.
