I went through help and it says that option is present undert "Insert" tab->
"Text group" but I don't see any option there. Have I missed something in the
help document?
I'm using MS Office Professional 2007.

The documentation states that 'You can insert signatures lines only into
Word documents and Excel workbooks'.

Some documentation's good, some's bad, and the inability to know which is which
renders it all suspect  :-(

PowerPoint Help says:

"This topic explains what a digital signature is, what it can be used for, and
how you can use digital signatures in Microsoft Office Word 2007, Microsoft
Office Excel 2007, and Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007."

and

"You can add invisible digital signatures to Word documents, Excel workbooks,
and PowerPoint presentations."

(Table of contents, open Security and Privacy, open Digital Signatures, it's
one of the first couple of entries; this is with online help enabled)
