"16:9" format

This has probably been asked and answered a great number of times but is PPT
slated to output a true wide screen format anytime soon?  I know you can set
up the page for 16:9 but the output is still 4:3 and you have to overshoot
if you're projecting or send the signal through a scan converter.  Any
thoughts?
