I am using powerpoint 2007 and I downloaded two themes from the microsoft
office site. When I want to apply a downloaded theme to just one slide in my
presentation, It does not work, all of the slides are changed to that theme
instead of one. How do I apply a downloaded theme to just one slide on my
presentation?

Do you see the theme in the Themes gallery (Design tab)? First make the slide
current. Then, instead of clicking the theme, right-click the theme's box and
choose Apply to Selected Slides.
