If I have the same movie file in a power point presentation in more then one
slide is there a way that the slide could be continued from the last point
where it stopped on the previous slide?  I'm trying to show a series of short
10 second clips but I might not show all the clips in one slide and during
the meeting break I wanted to insert the same set of clips but have it start
where it left off.

In PowerPoint, you can control where you want the movie to start from.
After inserting the movie, click Slide Show > Custom Animation.
Double click on the play effect.
Under Effect tab, you will see start playing "From beginning".
Change it to From time "x" seconds.
Set the time of your preference.
