Everything in PowerPoint 2007 is slow. I'm running it in Vista with a 3Ghz
processor and 2GB of RAM. It will take more than 5 seconds to start a
presentation. Things really slow to a crawl when I want to choose a new
animation. And selecting slide transitions is a disaster. After googling
"powerpoint 2007 slow" I see that this seems to be a fairly big problem.
Is there anything I can do? Is Microsoft aware of this?
This will sound weird, but install a certified printer driver from
http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/category.aspx?bcatid=1044&tabid=1 and set
it as the default driver. If you're on a network, make sure to install these
as local printer drivers (on the computer, not on the network).
This often corrects the very slow editing issues.

Make sure you are not running one of the Beta version. The released version
is much faster than the betas were.
FYI: If you have OneNote, you have one of the certified drivers already.
Just make sure
Send to OneNote 2007 is set as your default printer.

Well, I'm mainly an idiot. I didn't have the drivers installed for my video
card. So, I don't think Microsoft needs to be alerted to my problem. Thanks
for your consideration and suggestions!
