How do I export a slideshow for viewing on a PC w/o PowerPoint?

I am creating a slide show for a client. He does not own a copy of
PowerPoint. Can I export the .PPS show to some type of .exe or other format
that would embed all my slides, transistions, etc., and be able to run on
that PC?

ALSO, what is the miniminum PowerPoint version that has that capability?
'02? '03? '07?

Follow the links to the viewer download and hand off a copy to your client. He
can install it and use it to view and print your PPT/PPS presentations but not
to edit them.

Powerpoint 2003's Package For CD feature will let you create a CD that includes
the viewer and runs on most PCs w/o having to install anything.

It's possible to do something similar with earlier versions; it just takes a
lot more um ... manual intervention. (Bob? BOB! Bring the sledgehammer and
axe, we got us another CD to do!)

Three Options
1. Save your PowerPoint as an html page
If the powerpoint file has litttle or simple tranistions, you can use
the Save As feature in PowerPoint to save your powerpoint file as an
html page. Then upload the page to web. You can provied an URL of the
html page for your client to view the presentation with a browser. But
for a complicated powerpoint file, the transtions, animations and
other multimedia may not play correctly as a html page.

2. Convert the powerpoint file to flash
You can use some converters to convert powerpoint to flash. For a
flash presentation, you client are only required to have a web brower
to view it. Open an URL and then view.

To convert a simple powerpoint to flash, use FREE Powerbullet

Powerbullet Presenter is a small, simple and free program for creating
presentations in the Flash format.

3. Convert powerpoint to EXE
There are some Free/commercial tools out there for you to convert
powerpoint to exe. You can make a google search.
