I have prepared a PPT presentation.  At the end of the presentation the audio
starts over from the beginning.  I cannot figure out how to stop this from
happening.  Any ideas on what I might do?

thanks  :)

You really need to give us more info eg how you inserted the music and what
you mean by "the end of the presentaion" I take it it stops when you actually
close the presentation (I have seen music that didn't!)

As a quick guess, go to the slide where the music starts and in custom
animation pane find the entry for the sound. Double click it and in the
timing tab look for a repeat setting.

Thank you John.  When the presentation ends...i.e., when the last slide is
shown and my audio (wave file: voice) has ended....the audio from slide one
begins all over again.  The presentation does not go to the first slide but
the audio does start over again.  I am going to burn this presentation on CD
and hand out to Realtors.  I don't want them to see it and then have the
sound track start all over at the end of the presentation when they are
sitting there thinking about what they just saw.

I went to insert on the tool bar and inserted the wave file for a series of
slides.
I have looped the sound; not looped the sound and don't know now what to do.
I did as you suggested and went to animation and double clicked on timing
and it reads as follows:  start:  after previous   Delay:  0 seconds   Speed:
2seconds (medium)  Repeat:  (none)

What would happen if I checked Rewind when done playing?

I went to the first slide and the box for loop the sound is not checked.  I
don't know what else to look for on the first slide.

You need to go back and check again! Sound animations cant have "Speed = 2
secs" so you must be double clicking the wrong thing.

I hope that you all did not give me up.  Where do I find sound animations?
When I click design icon i am given the choice to click on design templates;
color scheme and/or animation schemes. There is also an option to click on
SlideDesign.  When I do I get a long drop down list (nothing about sound) and
near the bottom are three options:  slide design - animation schmes; custom
animation and then slide transition.  Slide design and animation schemes and
custom animation offer no sound options.  Only slide transition has sound
where you can uploan your sound files.  What am I not seeing?

In the "custom animation" section there is "no" entry for sound.  Nor does it
allow for any.  The only way that I was able to put sound to any of the
slides was in the slide transition section.  There is an area "modify
transition" and it has speed and sound.  This is where I uploaded the sound.
I do not have the icon for sound.  I hope this will help you understand my
problem.  I do appreciate you trying to help

If its a transition sound try this
go to slide 1 and in the slide transition pane choose "no sound"  and apply
to all slides This will make sure the sound is gone!

Now choose the sound you want in the box do NOT click apply to allslides and
do not tick loop until next sound

The other way to insert sound is INSERT > movies and sounds > sound from
file. There are good tutorials on our PowerPoint alchemy site

Also you might try having a slide at the end with eg "THE END" and with this
slide in the transition pane choose "stop previous sound" again do not click
apply to all slides

Select your sound icon and from Custom Animations, select Timings, and under
the timing tab ensure the repeat option is set to (none)
