I have created a slide show in ppt. On one particular slide the title does
not fade in first before the content, it fades in after a table.  I have
tried creating a new slide but the same thing keeps happening.

Try going to slide show > custom animation and using the reorder button to
move the title animation UP (or the table down) in the list

John thank you for your reply.  Did exactly as you suggested but
unfortunately it does not work.  For some reason the table which i have
inserted on this slide does not fade in after the title and when i checked
the custom animation list it does not appear to be included in the numbered
list for alteration.
Sorry but i still need help!

With the table selected, and animation pane open, add your fade animation to
the table

As Michael says or maybe click the title entry in custom animation and "remove"

Does anyone happen to know how to do this in PowerPoint 2007?  The
methodology you describe seems to only work in prior versions.  Specifically,
I can't "ungroup" a table.

Yeah, it's not as easy as it used to be. I suspect this is the price we pay
for getting table quick styles.

Anyway, copy or cut the table, Paste Special as an EMF, then ungroup that.
