Doing a PP presentation here. Is it possible to set something up where-by if
I hit the number 1 a certain part of the slide is revealed, or alternate
click on an icon so as to reveal part of the slide??

Say you were giving a talk to youngsters and the question was name 5 items
of food that are good for you.

You'd have

Apple
Orange
Banana

etc etc

How can you cover them up, and say someone says 'orange' you'd click on 2
and it would reveal, or click on an object covering orange and it'd reveal!

Does that make any sense at all!?

You probably want to use trigger animations for this. Here's a simple example
on how triggers can be achieved:

You might want to read through "The definitive guide to triggers" on these
pages (in the Free PowerPoint tutorials etc section)
