Hello!

I have a presentation that has a background that loads somewhat slowly
outside of presentation mode.  When working on the presentation, clicking
from one slide to another requires that the background be rendered each time.
It isn't a graphic like a photo; it's just with green background that is
dark in one corner and then fades to a lighter green near the opposite
corner.  It doesn't seem very heavy, it is starting to get annoying.  Like I
said, it only doest this in Edit mode.

Any advice?  Thanks for your help!

Try turning your hardware acceleration back a few notches.
