Recovering overwritten file

Does anyone know how to recover a Powerpoint presentation file that was
overwritten once?  Was there a copy saved to a temp file somewhere for
example?

Unfortunately, once a file is saved, the .tmp file is erased. Unless you had
a back up, I'm afraid your out of luck
