O.K. I bought my computer last year.  I see it has the 2003 Powerpoint Viewer
but cannot find Powerpoint itself.  So did it come with my computer or is it
a separate purchase.

Search for POWERPNT.EXE (usually in the Program Files folder on your
C:\-drive) . If you don't have that, you don't have PowerPoint. Whether you
should have PowerPoint depends on the Office suite, which was pre-installed.
Often Office Basic (or Works) is used for this, and it does not contain
PowerPoint.
