each time i create a ppt, i have to set up the master slide to my defaults.
in word, you can click "default" and all future documents will be the design
of your default until changed.  is there a way in powerpoint to do this?  i
don't want to format every time in create a new presentation.  i know i can
create a design template but i was wondering is there anyway to have it "in
front of my face" when i click "new" without applying a template i've
created.  tks so much for your responses!

If you right click on a template in the "available for use" section of the
design pane you can choose "use for all new ..."

You can also create and save a template called "blank" which will become the
default (save as > save as type scroll down to design template. Use the name
blank and the location offered)
