Just so you know, I did some research on this and came up blank. Then again,
did you have the beta version installed?
Besides this, there might be a correlation issue between the office
Migration Convertor and your language. I'll keep looking.

Thanks Glen for the try.
But I'm again facing this problem. This time it's English Win XP-Office
2000. I've SP3 installed and file converter in installed as well. When I
double click on the pptx file it opens up as a temp file with filename as
ppt00000001. If I launch PPT and then drag drop the pptx file into the app
window then it says that "Powerpoint can't read the outline for this file. No
text converter is installed for this file type".
I have seen this issue on many machines. Is there some workaround.
