While experimenting with my laptop and projector the other night, I was able
to see the slides in edit mode on my laptop while they presented on the
projector and advance with the slide shown on projector.  But tonight the
slide displayed on the computer does not advance with the one projected.  I
have Office 2003 Professional.
I know I can use Presenter view to have the slide displayed on the computer
advance with the one projected, but I want to be able to use ink and can't do
that while in Presenter view.  If I could get it to work like it did the
other night I would be very grateful.

There are multiple settings you will need to check/adjust.  Here is the
quick version.

1) In Windows
Click on Start => Settings => Control Panel => Display => (tab) Settings
On the second monitor miniature, right click and make sure that Attached is
checked

2) In PowerPoint
Click on Slide Show => Set up Show.. => (section) Multiple Monitors =>
Display Slideshow on ... Monitor 2

Give it a whirl and see if that does what you want.
