Hi
Objective:  I am trying to get the text from a bunch of slides into *.RTF
files which generally is a no brainer...However; I have been let with about
200 PP slides where the text was inserted using a text box on an layout
without  any titles etc.  Thus when I go to normal and outline view no text
is displayed and when I  save as *.RTF the file is empty.  I can fake this by
selecting the text "CTRL A" cutting it CTRL X then changing the layout to a
title slide and pasting the text.  Not bad but 800 times is a bit much.  My
attempts at creating a macro have met with limited success.

Ideas, suggestions, workarounds appreciated!!

This won't get you to RTF, but it will export a plain ascii file of all the text
on a slide:

Export Text to a text file, extract text from PowerPoint (Mac or PC)
