I'm a beginner here.  I'm creating a presentation and I want to import most
of my slides from a series of slides that have been given to me on a CD.
How do I do this?

Marcorn,
Use Insert - Slides from file - browse - click on the arrow next to search
in - select cd-drive -select the presentation you want to use slides from -
click open - select the slides you want to use (you can have several using
shift+click or Ctrl+click) - click insert - or if you want to use them all
click insert all. Repeat the process if needed, then hit close. If you want
to keep the original formatting check the box keep source formatting in the
lower left corner of the dialog.
