I have tried inserting wmv video into ppt and it worked a couple of times but now I get the full screen effect (which I wanted) but the video doesn't run (white screen only). 1.5gb ram, wmv files play fine in Windows Media player. Hi Pete, a white screen very often is a sign, that the path length is too long. Try moving your presentation AND your videos to a folder with a shorter path name, e.g. C:\Test.
