Is there anyway to insert a m4v file into a powerpoint presentation? I have
attempted to change the file type to avi, wma, mpeg etc to no avail.

Though,Powerpoint (most versions) are happy inserting
mpeg1 file, later versions of powerpoint appear to be more happy with .WMV
files.
the m4V are also allowed to be inserted into powerpoint .
select" insert" > movies and sounds> Movie from File.

From Start menu, run mplay32.exe (not available in Vista). If this MCI
player can play your multimedia file, it is likely that PowerPoint can play
it, too.

Make sure not to use long paths to folders, PowerPoint cannot handle more
than 128 characters of path length.

Best regards,
Ute
