.avi files I import from sketchUP turn black when they play in PP

I am importing .avi movies from SketchUP and when I click to play them in
PowerPoint they turn black for the duration of the movie. It is working on
other computers in PP so it must be a setting. I have no idea. Any help would
be great.

Probably the path is too long. Try creating a folder in C: drive. Move the
ppt file and movie to the folder. Now, open the presentation, delete and
re-insert the movie. See if it works this time round.
