ppt 2003 - ppt files are opening in MS Picture Manager

When I click onto a ppt file, every time the file automatically opens in
Microsoft Picture Manager, giving only a picture of the ppt file.

To get around this, the saved file must be right clicked by mouse and select
"Open With". The program always recommends and highlights "Open With
Microsoft Office PowerPoint". I then click on that and open the ppt file.

Can someone please direct me in how to overcome this problem?

Hi

When you do the 'Open with' thing there should be a tick box that says
'Always use the selected programme to open this kind of file'. Tick it and
voila! If this doesn't work post back and I'll let you know how to do it
through your folder options in windows explorer..
