I recently downloaded the free trail in hopes to try out the new powerpoint
but there is a huge problem in which I am can not tell weather the computer
is frozen or is still trying to extract. I tried the task manager but it
poped up merely 8 mins later with no other promps as to if any program was
running or not. I would like to know if this has been an issue for other
users and like to know what can I do on my end to have the free trail
running? Thanks.

This to me sounds like the download did not complete 100% OK

Perhaps re-try downloading the free trial
