Thank you Ms. Jacobs for your response. However, your response didn't help!
This is specifically what I need: There seem to be pre-set times in Order and
Timing, how do I customize, or set, the time that I want to insert a certain
piece of information. I checked under the Animation and did not see what I
needed. Am I blind or what?

I am not sure what you mean by "Order" and "Timing". Timing for an
individual animation is still done by right clicking the animation and using
Timing to access the customizations for your animations. To change the order
of your animations, you can drag them up or down the list. You can also
change how the animations start by changing the value in the Start drop down
at the top of the custom animation task pane.

If you are talking about the transition time for going from slide to slide,
that is now done from the Advance Slide group at the far right of the
animation tab.

It might help me to help you if you can tell me where the options were in
2003. I think that we are misunderstanding each other due my not
understanding exactly what you want to customize. Keep in mind that I can't
see what you are looking at, only what you tell me.... Help me to help you
by telling more....

Hi Handzinj,

It is sometimes difficult to know exactly what a user is having difficulties
with.  Your description could fit a dozen different problems, so Kathy took
a stab at the most likely.  We are often hampered by not being able to see
what the user does.  Let me ask a question or two so that we may understand
more precisely what you are having difficulties with.

Are you asking about the timing setting that auto-populates into the various
animations when they are applied?

Are you asking about the animation schemes?

Are you asking about slide transition timings?

Mr. Dilworth,

Thank you for your reply. This question is actually for my son, who is at
school. I will discuss it with him this evening and hopefully we can get a
clearer question to you. He's having a hard time articulating to me what it
is he wants to do which, of course, makes it even harder to ask you. I
appreciate your help!
