Dolvito,
Seems like a double question, can you import Excel data to create charts in
PowerPoint, yes. Insert a chart in PPT, on the standard toolbar there is a
button with the picture of a graph in an opened folder. Click on it, select
your Excel file, chose the sheet you want to use or specify a range.
You need to update the charts everytime you open the presentation? In that
case I would make the chart in Excel, select it, copy, paste special, radio
button paste link. Now everytime you open the PPT-file you will be asked if
you want to update.

Thank you for you're comment.

I tried both you're options before, but they were not suitable for this
problem. I was not clear enough what my problem was. I will try en explain my
problem more clearly.

I have these report excel files, which contain data collected of the years,
the half years, the quarters and the months. The different time periods are
on different Excel sheets. So as time goes by, the number of months, quarters
and years grow. Which means the range is different, that's why you're first
solution does not work. You're second solution will make the Powerpoint files
very large, since some of the Powerpoint files contain over 50 slides of
Excel data.

I was wondering if I could program Powerpoint to retreive the data of Excel
using VBA.

Kind regards.

To answer your question, you probably can program all of this using VBA, but
it's not a simple project, and not something you can expect people here to post
a ready-made solution for, though folks will be more than happy to help you get
past specific problems with your code, should you decide to try writing it
yourself.
