On some of our computers, when we create or edit any chart we find that the
text and numbers close up tightly together and look unsightly. They stay
this way in shows and on printouts.
We can solve this simply by opening them on another computer that doesn't
exhibit this tendency - when the spacing jumps back to normal.
As far as I am aware, all the computers use the same version of PPT 2003
SP2. Any thoughts?
(I've been away from the the newsgroup for a while so if this has recently
been covered, many apologies).

Any chance you are using a font that is not installed on other PCs?

No - this happens in Arial as well as other fonts

Martin,
What printer does that computer have as its default? Try a different one and
see what happens. (You don't have to actually install the printer, just the
drivers.)

Thanks guys - it seems that it was an updated video driver that cured the
problem; tried the printer driver but that didn't change things.
Good to see that the group is as good as ever!
