I read the posts of 3/21 and followed the directions and the problem was not
solved.  Like the other person, I want to link directly to a video file with
a .vob extension which of course powerpoint does not support.  Additionally,
available software converters e.g. from .vob to .wmv don't do a terrific job
and a lot of video quality is lost.  I also want to be able to pause, rewind
or fast forward when the video is playing and when you insert a video clip,
that disappears.  I am running Powerpoint 2000 on one computer and 2003 on
another.  Is there any solution or am I stuck with the pop up?

I am confused, what sort of pop up are you seeing?
