I'm working with a presentation provided by another group that has an
embedded excel object in Powerpoint.   When I open the worksheet, cells that
are longer than 255 characters are truncated to 255 characters.  What do I
need to do to ensure this doesn't continue to happen.

I've also posted this in an Excel newsgroup for their take.

Thanks,
Barb Reinhardt

At least some versions of Excel permit no more than 255 characters per cell.

Perhaps the items in question were created in a later version that permits
more?
