Applying a Design Template to Existing Presentations

I have several existing presentations from colleagues and need to standardize
all of them to have the same format. When I apply my design template it
automatically changes the background, font, bullet points etc to match my
template on most of the presentations. However, on some of the presentations,
the creators have manually changed the formatting on individual slides and
the settings from the master will not override these manuals changes.

Is there a way to have the settings from the master slides apply to all
slides even if some of those slides have been changed manually? That'll be
great so I don't have to manually change some slides to match the master.

Try reapplying the appropriate slide layout on the problem slides after you
apply the design template. This should reset the items in the placeholders.
