I have a presentation and when i print it the template does not print- any
idea how it fix this so the slide prints exactly what is on the screen
template and all?

When you print, either send it to a color printer or change the print
settings in the print dialog box from pure b/w or grayscale to color.  The
template background does not print when you print in b/w.

Steph,

What Linda said but also......

if you go
View menu > slide master > can you select any of the objects/pictures that
are not printing?

if you can (and you are using a black and white printer)... read the
following

Control how your presentation prints in B/W
